High-performance fiber designers often face manufacturing challenges with bonding material that lead to rework or complete component rebuild. The result is higher manufacturing costs and longer build times.

Contin high performance epoxy system are formulated specifically to consistently meet the builders’ strength and processing requirements, virtually eliminating associated rebuild/rework cost. We have developed an organic hardener based on cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL). With around 95% biological content, the hardener works extremely well with a liquid epoxy resin which has 30% bio content. Together these two chemicals strongly bind the carbon fibers, creating a very light weight and extremely tough and stiff material.
